What the label is naming

Rice bran oil is a seed oil used for high-heat cooking and in some chips and Japanese-style snacks. Brown rice, rice flour, and brown rice syrup do not contain the oil phrase, so they are not matches. Brown rice syrup lives with added sugars.

Where it hides

It is most often printed on snack bags that specifically market the oil, and occasionally in a blend parenthesis. A rice cake made of brown rice will not trip it.
